Re: WDYT of Lily ?
in reply to a message by Emma Cummings
Lily is alright, a bit boring and common lately. I much prefer Lillian nn Lilly.
Lily Cait - cute, but would prefer Lillian Kate or Lillian Catherine.
Lily Rose - Like Rose, but not here. They're both a flower, and four letters.
Lily Violet - nms but alright. What about Lily/Lillian Scarlet?
Lily Catherine - Oh, you do have a Catherine combo on here! I love this.
Lily Caitlin - I think Lily Catherine would be much nicer. I like this better than Lily Cait, but I'd prefer the spelling Katelyn.
Lily Elizabeth - too rhyme-y.
Also can Lily be short for Elizabeth or Elisabeth?
Well, I suppose, but it seems like a stretch. Lily bothers me enough when it's on it's own and not short for Lillian. I don't think I'd like it as a nn for Elizabeth/Elisabeth. Plus, Elizabeth has enough nn's to begin with.
Any other equivalent names to Lily?
Rose, Rosa, Rosemary, Rosalina, Rosalie, and other Ros- names
Lillian, Liliana, Lilian
Delilah, Lila, Lilah, Dahlia, Daisy
