I love Helen and Helena, and I say Helena as HEL-eh-nah.

I'd use Helen. I love Helena pronounced he-LAY-na, but I hate the pronunciation HELL-in-a.

Helena (heh-lay-nuh) is nice, but I prefer/love Helene (heh-layn).

Helena is lovely. But I only like it pronounced, "helen + a," like Helena Bonham Carter or Helena, Montana.

Out of all of the choices, I have to say I like Helen the best. Refreshingly simple. (Love the nn Nell.)

I prefer Helena w/ a prnc of heh-LAY-nah although I have heard it prncd w/ the 'h' silent like eh-LANE-ah.

I like Helena. I've always heard it pronounced Hel-ehn-ah. I like Helene, if pronounced the French way, Eh-Lin.

I dont really like but I pr. Hel-lay-nuh although I always want to say hel-ehn-uh.

I really like Helena (heh-LAY-na). Helene is ok. Helen does nothing for me. I used to know a girl named Helena (same pronunciation). What was funny was the rest of the family was named John, Judith, Julia, John IV and Joseph! ;-)

Personally, I love Helena, pro HeLeenuh since that is probably everyone's tendency. That way she won't have her name botched up in classrooms, etc. and have to constantly correct everyone. It's just beautiful...very flowing compared to Helene or Helen. Just my opinion...

I like Helen and Helena. As for pronunciation, Hel-LAY-nuh and hel-EE-nuh are good by my book.
