I've never met anyone with this name so I don't know how it is said in real life. Does this pronunciation guide seem accurate to you?

And have you ever met an Esme or Esmee? Boy or girl?

I have always pronouced it Ez-may rather then Ez-me.

Sounds correct to me.

I've known 2 Esmes, one under age 5 and one in the over-50 crowd. Both were female, both spelled it "Esme," and both pronounced it "EZ-me."

I've never met an Esme/Esmee but, Esme is male, Esmee is female. Like fiance and fiancee.
