Message: "Aida" - Behind the Name

Aida has been running through my head the last few days. (The name, not the opera.) How would you pronounce it? I would say, "ah-EE-da" but I suppose some might say, "AY-da."

What do you think of it? What mns would you suggest? Or perhaps it could work as a mn, any suggestions?
