Welsh names...
Which do you think could be reasonable used on an American child, fn or mn? I have put the letter M by each that I would only use as a mn. Please tell if you think any others should be put in that category.

I'm not perhaps the best judge as many of these names are familiar to me but I think some of the more straightforward ones are Bethan, Branwen, Bryn, Ceridwen, Guinevere, Morwenna for girls and Bran (love this!), Dafydd, Haydn, Huw and Maddox for boys. I adore Rhydderch and Taliesin too but I think most people wouldn't get the pronounciation. Incidently, a character in a book I once read was called Rhydderch but went by the nickname Rhys which I think might work.

You can have as much fun as you like with the mn. My sister really wanted to name her dd Siobhan Clare, but switched it to Clare Siobhan. It's worked out very well. Angharad is one of my all time favorite names. I'd squeal like a little piggie if ever I met one here in the U.S., even if it was her mn.
As for fns, I can see (and keep in mind I'd name dds Niamh and Aoife):
Bethan, Branwen, Bryn (although I thought this is a Welsh boy's name), Guinevere, Morwenna (yay!) --- Braith, Maddox (too Angelina Jolie-ish though), and Madoc (great name).
