Norah or Margaret? (m)
At this summer camp I go to, you can choose the name they put on your door (be it your full name, a nickname, or anything you want). Since no one I know is going to this camp, I really want to use Margaret, because I am just tired of the name Norah (my friends seem to think it is old-ladyish). I'm not sure though. So, in your opinion, which is better? Norah or Margaret?

I love Nora, but I really dislike it with the -h tacked on the end. I love a ton of nn's for Margaret--Maggie, Meg, Maisie, Daisy--but I'm not terribly crazy about Margaret itself. :-/

Thank you everyone! m...I've decided to put down Margaret, just because it's a week, and I really want a change! Thanks again, everyone who replied!

They're both great IMO, but as Margaret is a family name I'm going to chose that one. Also, go for something different, see if you like it better. It'd be fun to have a new name for a while.

I definitely prefer Margaret. I've never been fond of Norah...it just isn't my style at all. Margaret is so much prettier imo.

Norah. I'm not crazy about either, but Margaret is definitely the old lady of the duo.

I would stick with Norah. It's a beautiful name. I don't find it old-ladyish. Margaret seems more dull and old-ladyish to me.

Well, I prefer Norah, but if this is just for a week, go with Margaret if you want too! Have fun!!

they both seem to me to have the same amount of 'old-ladyish'ness about them... (neither of them are old-ladyish to me at all.) But if you want to try out a new Name, a summer camp is a great place to do it! I personally prefer Magaret.

Hmm. Both are very nice. If you were to choose Margaret, would you just use that or would you be Maggie or something? Either way... I still can't decide, lol, sorry I'm not of much help! But if you want to try something different, by all means try it.

Hm, that's a pretty personal choice. I do prefer Margaret, but if you do choose something other than your first name, make sure you're comfortable responding to it.While I prefer Margaret, Leonora is also gorgeous!
