I think its best if twin names are connected in meaning, not spelling. Its more meaningful that way and it prevents them from being laughed at.

What about Radovan and a name meaning "hope" to tie in with the happy theme? Or Donovan and another Irish name?

Radovan is cool! I personally prefer less "twinny" names for twinsets, though. Radovan and Donovan are a bit too rhymey for my taste.

Too rhymey. I would never do that to my children. Besides, they are so close, and you will probably just give them nn's anyway.

They're ickily close together, awful for brothers and worse for twins. They'll be compared in every other way; at least let them have their own names. I don't mind Donovan for someone else, but I don't like the Rad- sound in the other.

In this case I see the names as to similar. I would probably use Razvan (which derived from Radovan according to BtN database under related names) and Donovan. I think Donovan is a cute name. Razvan is not really my style but I thought that I would suggest it since it derived from Radovan.

Too similar and too themey imo. I like Donovan though. Radovan is not my style but it's ok.

If they're boys (you never know these days), it's great!

First of all, I don't think twins names should be similar. They're their own people, and it would probably make them miserable in their teen years to know that there's someone enough like them.

Other than that, Donovan with the nn Donny is nice, but I really don't like Radovan. I can hear it now-- "Look-- It's the Rad-o-man!"
