It's a GP of mine as a girl's name.

cute nn, unthinkable as a full name
great GP and nn, awful full name
I knew a girl named Kricket, it was a nn for Kristin.
It's okay, fine on someone elses child.

I hate it! I makes me think of the bugs, eww!
:)
:)
I like it as a nickname.
I think it makes a sweet one for a boy or a girl.

Ditto, but no way as a full name
I agree wholeheartedly.
Cute on a fictional character; doesn't make the cut in real life.
I can understand it only as a nn for a boy. I actually think it would be a really cute nn on a boy, but for a girl I say it is a definate no-no.
It's really cute, but I would never use it. It would be a great name for a bouncy little child, but what if she became a Judge? Or when she graduates?
Judge Cricket
Just doesn't sound seirious to me!

eh, it reminds of a 1980s soap opera
I can't remember which one it was but one of them had (still has?) a character named Cricket.

It was The Young & The Restless. And I'm not sure if the character is still on there or not, but I know she started going by her 'real' name, Christine, when she (the character) was maybe in her early-mid 20s. After she became a lawyer, I think. LOL.
Please no!!!!!!! Only as a nn!!!!!

If you really like it, it might be fine as a nn.
Jiminy Cricket comes to mind first...I don't know why.
I know a woman named Cricket (though it's her nn), and no one I've asked (since I don't really know her well I haven't asked her) knows how she got the name. She's small and geeky, and frankly, I think it's a really cute nn for her. I could never see it as a full name for someone though, that'd be too odd.

That name 'bugs' me...
Lol, ditto :D
It's terrible!
How would you feel if your name were Cricket? It's dreadful!
Ok, we get it. You're empathetic
More people should be, judging by some of the things people get named.
Um... no. The poor girl would be made fun of if you really did name someone that.
Daft
Cute for the first few years then she grows up.
Be fine for a nn so there is something more mature to fall back on.
