Re: Carrie

You may want to just name her Caroline, and call her Carrie when she's little. I can't really imagine a, say, 50-year-old woman with the name Carrie. Caroline is a name that works for all ages, and Carrie doesn't sound like it can be taken seriously after the age of 40.
If you don't like the spelling of Caroline, you can always go with an alternate spelling, or choose a name that sounds similiar but you may still like, such as Caralyn/Karalyn.
