Scarlett..
Do you think someone could grow up with (and pull off) the name Scarlet/t?
What's your personal opinion on it? Some one told me today it's a bit too femme fatale...Thanks in advance :)

I think they could, but I personally dislike it. It reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara.

Well...I've used it for an unpleasant character in a story I was writing, so any chance of it flying with me now is out of the picture. Sorry!

I really love Scarlett, probably because of the novel "Gone With the Wind". It is strong and feminine and it goes great both for a little girl and a woman.

I do like the name Scarlett but I have trouble imagining a little four year old having this name. I can easily see a teenage girl or even a older woman with this name just not a young kid. But even with that said, it's still a great name.

Definitely! I love it. It's very classy and appropriate on females of all ages.

A few years ago I probably would have said this would be a difficult name to "pull off", but Scarlett Johansson seems to have made it so common that in a few years there will be so many young girls with the name, that it will probably lose a lot of its "femme fatale" status.

It's too strong for me to like for a first name, but I think it could be easily pulled off as a mn. I think someone could handle it as a first name though, especially if they had the right personality.

What's your personal opinion on it? I love it, but only spelled Scarlet, as in the color not the LN. Two T's are not needed in this name IMO.

Of course someone could pull off Scarlet(t). It's not a name I'm really fond of, but I don't see how it'd be difficult to live with, particularly today.Array
