Nienke
This is a girl's name and I'm fairly sure it's from the Netherlands.
WDYT? Any ideas for combos? I pronounce it nee-EHN-keh, but correct me if I'm wrong. (I'd appreciate any other info anyone has on the name.)

I'd attempt it as "NEEN-ka." Where I am at least, I wouldn't try to make it fly because of the slang word 'nanky.' And I guess the adjacent N consonants sound negative to me - I'm touchy about N because there are so many in my own name.
Nanky?
I've not heard that word. WHat on earth does it mean?

I was curious, too, but googling it didn't get me very far. All I could come up with is that it's another way to say "nookie". :b

Hm..
Well, maybe it's extremely local. I can't find it anywhere online either. So, nevermind I suppose.
It was used to describe something smelly, dirty, & unwanted. Like: Someone left their nanky old socks on the floor and I don't want to touch them to throw them out.

I apologize because I have no info on the name. However, I felt compelled to reply because I have never heard of this name before but it sounds very pretty. So thank you for sharing :)

I admit I like my prn better but NEEN-keh is pretty as well. Do you know how it's derived from Catharina? ... I'd be curious.
