Celeb Baby is Changing her name.
From celebrity-babies.com:
Tallulah Belle Willis, 13, commissioned dad Bruce to make an announcement during his appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last night.
"Tallulah wanted me to mention on here tonight that she's legally changing her name from Tallulah to Lulah. Just Lulah. Doesn't like her name, doesn't like Tallulah. She's legally changing it."

A little ridiculous.
I like Tallulah, and hate Lulah, which is actually weirder than Tallulah. My grilfriend and best friend have weird names; Ana-Leticia, but she goes by Tish or Tisha, and Lenora (which I love), but she goes by Laura to her family, Nora to her friends, and Lenny to her baby sister. Why couldn't she just say "I'm Tallulah, but call me Lulah"?

Why doesn't she just go by that?
I the idea of someone changing their name.

Agreeing with mirfak--way to show exactly how much you indulge in your daughter. Little Tallulah Belle can suck it up and go by a nickname, just like anyone else, far as I'm concerned.
I'd much rather be a Lula or a Tallulah than a Lulah, in any case. That painfully unnecessary H would be eschewed in my family in the first place, and anyway Lulah is only a letter away from my old arch-nemesis, Lilah. :D

Yuck. I don't care for Tallulah, and Lulah with an H is kind of scary to me, like I'd be nervous around someone named Lulah. Lula alone is alright with me -- still antique, but nice sounding.
It's like daddy wants the world to think his daughter is overindulged - what with the legal name change being allowed (surely they're just paying someone to do all that annoying paperwork), but especially the announcement at his public special-guestage. Yuck.
Silver lining: she's not changing it to Felicity.

 How on earth would you KNOW how the name was spelled when you were introduced? And why on earth would it make you "nervous"?

I guess Dad is changing it for her. You can't make those decisions at 13. There's nothing wrong with Tallulah at all, but if she wants to go by Lulah why not just do that? Oh well. Won't impact my life any.
But Tallulah is so much prettier...I agree with everyone else about her age and just using a nn though.
They're both awful... Poor kid... *sigh*
It seems like it would be easier for her to just say her nn is Lulah as opposed to going through the whole name change process. Saying your name is Tallulah but you're called Lulah doesn't seem much different than saying your name is Jennifer but you're called Jenny. Plus, I question allowing a child to make that decision at age 13. Lord knows what I might have chosen to name myself at 13, but, whatever...
Yep, agree!
I was hell bent on changing my name at 14. Many adults told me I won't always feel that way. Of course I didn't believe them at the time; I was 14 :P. Gah. Spoilt celeb kids.

I also agree
I agree.
13 is too young to make that kind of decision.

not much of an improvement if you ask me (m0
I mean, Lulah Belle! A stereotypical redneck name. It always seems to show up in hillbilly jokes along with Billy-Bob and Cletus and Bobbie Jo. And how different is Lulah from Tallulah?

Agreed. It's hard to improve on Tallulah. Poor kid.
There's an organization
around here called something like The Lula Belle Dog Rescue. The founder named it after the first dog she rescued, so Lulah Belle sounds all dog to me.

I've not a fan of Tallulah precisely because it's a celebrity baby name. Demi Moore, Patrick Dempsey, Kacey Ainsworth, and some nobody from a soap I saw in a magazine last week all have daughters named Tallulah. Yet I've never met a 'normal' child with the name or even heard of one.
That said, at least it's a respectable name, just a bit silly sounding. Lulah is 100% silly, especially with Belle. Like you say, the combo sounds redneck.

agreed and
I also think she's a little too young to be legally changing her name. Sounds like an impulsive teenager move to me.

Thats kind of amusing since (to me at least) Lulah looks and sounds even more odd than Tallulah. But isn't she a tad young to be making a decision like that? Or does he mean that she plans to change it legally when she grows up?
