I like all 3 quite a bit, but if I had to pick one: Oscar.
Edward - I really like this, esp. with nn Ned, Ted, or Teddy. But I really dislike Ed and Eddie, and I prefer Edmund to Edward.
Gabriel - Getting way too popular for me, but it's gorgeous.
Oscar - LOVE this. I'd be a little afraid of teasing because of "Oscar the Grouch" and just being a bit unusual for many non-namenerds, unfortunately. :(

Edward - I don't like it much. I hardly like anything that starts with Ed-.
Gabriel - I like it, I like the sound of it.
Oscar - I like Oscar a lot.
I have difficulty choosing between Gabriel and Oscar, because I really like both. I guess it would depend on the middle name. Now I'm leaning a little bit towards Oscar, because it's less popular than Gabriel.

Edward- Not bad. Not sure if I'd ever use it but it's a solid boys names.
Gabriel- Love it. It's on the top of my list of boys names.
Oscar- Dislike. Sounds too much like a nn for me.

Edward is alright,Prefir Edgar, Eddie is a cute nn, Reminds of Eddie Haskell though, he was the wise kid getting Beaver's brother in trouble.
Gabriel-used to be a fave when I was in like middle school. it's alright.I've heard worse names.
Oscar-it's growing on me, not because Oscar the grouch, because of a song called Hello Oskar.

I think Edward sounds kind of snooty; there are lots of boys names that start with "E" that are so much nicer.
Gabriel is a nice name that I would like more if I hadn't known a horrible Gabriel growing up. So it's nice, but not for me. ;>)
Oscar ~sigh~ What can I say? I think any boy who has this name is at risk of being called Oscar the Grouch until he grows up. However, I think it's a lovely name and wish it wasn't saddled with a green muppet.

Oscar is my favourite, I like it quite a bit at the moment.
Edward comes second, it's nice enough but not as interesting as Oscar. There have been a lot of Edwards in the BAs recently.
Gabriel I loathe. I can't stand the sound, or the look.

Oscar by far
Its in the running for my second son, if I ever have one, along wih Solomon and Boston (my names are all over the place, I know. First son will be August Malachi "Gus") Love Oscar, I think it is just adorable on a little boy, but ages very well.
I also really like Edward nn Ned, so thats my second choice. For some reason I really don't like Gabriel- the sound just doesn't appeal to me at all, sorry.

definitely Gabriel...
Edward- sounds English to me. It's ok for someone of another generation, but it seems too old for a little kid. It's fine by itself, but I hate nn Ed and Eddie.
Gabriel- great! I love this name. It's traditional, but not boring. Also, I love nn Gabe and girl's name Gabriella.
Oscar- the Grouch. I can't think of a single boy's O name that I like, and this is no exception. It sounds really harsh and old and humbug-ish to me.

Didn't intend to sound like I was stereotyping. The fact that it sounds English to me has nothing to do with my opinion of it, and I have absolutely no idea if it's popular over there or not. It's just the first weird and random thing that pops into my head when I hear the name, regardless of whether it's true or just my loony imagination. :)
Edward is (very slowly) growing on me, and I like the sound of it, but I still can't picture it on a little kid. I think it would be great as a mn, though!

Hate Edward, and all Ed names, and Oscar.
But Gabriel is one of my favorites.

Edward - very classy but a little old-fashioned IMO, though I'd definately prefer it to the others
Gabriel - very boring and overly popular, plus I'm not a religious person
Oscar - I used to watch this show called "Hey Arnold!" and the lazy, useless tenant was named Oscar, plus there's Oscar the Grouch, so I have a bad association with the name. I think it's better than Gabriel though, since its much less popular and I like Oscar Wilde.
