I have a friend named Dahlia. Some people call her DeeDee. I like the flowers and I think this name is very pretty. My first thought isn't the Black Dahlia at all, it's the flower.

My DH really loves this name. He's been trying to convince me that it would work well with our one syllable last name. I'm starting to come around, but I still prefer the similar sounding Delilah over it. I don't think that the Black Dahlia association is going to be one that people will be making forever, so I wouldn't worry about it. I don't really connect the two in my mind when I hear the name Dahlia now.

I kinda like Dahlia, but more as a middle name.

It's not my usual style but i think it could be cute, when paired with the right name.
