Hello
I am french and there Lucien is an old name (given a lot in the 20's). The prononciation there is "Lu" (like Ulysse) "seayen". It's hard to translate exactly as the sound "ien" does not excist in english. I wish you could ear me lol.

LOO-shen or LOO-shun. I prefer the Lucian spelling.

In French, I'd say LOO-syen or loo-SYEN. In English (Lucian), I say LOO-see-in.

LOO-shun or (preferably, but only in French), lu-SYAIN (approximately).

LOO-shenBut now that you got me thinking about it... I might say it LOO-see-en too. With the 'see' part really short.

I say it loo-SEE-in.

LOO-see-en. I don't understand your pronounciation - since the 'ci' produces the 'sh' sound, would LOO-shen not be the correct way of pronouncing the name like that?

I say loo-see-en, with a slight stress on the last syllable.

I always say loo-she-in like you and I don't think I've heard it said any other way.
