WDYTO Susan?
I'd like honest opinions. It's the name of my deceased aunt, and the only family name I'd ever consider using for a future daughter. I honestly don't believe anyone I'm related to (and have met) but my Aunt Susan to be worthy of being honored.
So, WDYT? It really doesn't fit in with my usual style of naming, but I do really like it. I'm also sort of growing to like the nn "Susie," though it'd most likely be a mn anyway.

I've always loved the name Susan. A variation of it, that I think is also very pretty, is Shoshannah (sho-SHAH-na). It means "rose" in Hebrew. Just something to think about if you want to honor your aunt, but be different and unique with it.

Sorry to say, I dislike Susan very much. It's dated and just unattractive, even frumpy-sounding to my ears. I'd use a nicer form of the name which would still be honouring your aunt, e.g. Susanna, which is very close.

I actually quite like the name Susan and I don't know why! I love Susie, it's very sweet sounding, but again, I don't really know why I like it! I don't like Sue though, it's just a bit ugly to me. Actually out of Susan and Susie I'd go with Susie. Yes, I would use Susie as a full fn! I know of some Susie's and the name works on an adult.
I actually really like the name Susan, its strong yet feminine but I doubt my husband would ever go for it. Its too dated, but not vintage enough for a comeback yet.

I think that it would be really cute on a little girl and it would age very well as she grows. I find that a lot of people tend to dislike it because they tend to associate it with an older generation, but aside from that it has a beautiful sound.
I like the name Susan, but I don't like any nicknames for it.
I absolutely love Susan, Suzannah, and Suzanne. They're all really pretty, IMO, and they're not too popular just now. Add in such an important link for you, and I think it's perfect.
Susie's great, in an old-school way. I like Zanna better, personally, but that works better with Suzannah and Suzanne. I also know a little girl named Sanne, which would be equally cute as a nickname.

It's nmsaa but I like the fact that it honours your aunt.
In another case I would say I propose Suzanna, Suzannah, Shoshana, Shoshannah, Suzy...
