WDYTO Susan?
I'd like honest opinions. It's the name of my deceased aunt, and the only family name I'd ever consider using for a future daughter. I honestly don't believe anyone I'm related to (and have met) but my Aunt Susan to be worthy of being honored. So, WDYT? It really doesn't fit in with my usual style of naming, but I do really like it. I'm also sort of growing to like the nn "Susie," though it'd most likely be a mn anyway.

RE: WDYTO SusanI've always loved the name Susan. A variation of it, that I think is also very pretty, is Shoshannah (sho-SHAH-na). It means "rose" in Hebrew. Just something to think about if you want to honor your aunt, but be different and unique with it.~Rhianna~

Funny, I also have a deceased Aunt Susie, my mother's older sister. I like the name Susie a lot. I think that it is very sweet. Even though I like the name Susan, it is very dated, kind of like Nancy. I find myself drawn to the variation, Susannah, which I think is pretty.

I like Susan and I prefer this to Suzanne or Susanna. Also I agree Susie is a cute nn.

I like it, Susanna and Susannah too.
Possible combos from your profile; Susan Helena, Susan Aurora and Mathilde Susan.

Sorry to say, I dislike Susan very much. It's dated and just unattractive, even frumpy-sounding to my ears. I'd use a nicer form of the name which would still be honouring your aunt, e.g. Susanna, which is very close._____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

I actually quite like the name Susan and I don't know why! I love Susie, it's very sweet sounding, but again, I don't really know why I like it! I don't like Sue though, it's just a bit ugly to me. Actually out of Susan and Susie I'd go with Susie. Yes, I would use Susie as a full fn! I know of some Susie's and the name works on an adult.

I actually really like the name Susan, its strong yet feminine but I doubt my husband would ever go for it. Its too dated, but not vintage enough for a comeback yet.

I think that it would be really cute on a little girl and it would age very well as she grows. I find that a lot of people tend to dislike it because they tend to associate it with an older generation, but aside from that it has a beautiful sound.

I like it. I like Suzanne even better. It's hardly used nowadays, so it would be somewhat unique, and because it's honoring someone it's very special(It's also my best friend's name).Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

Well I like it...but it is my name (although everyone calls me Suzy or Suz)! The only thing I don't like is that I have about five friends whose moms are named Susan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I like Susan for the fact that it's not as popular but it's still a very classic name. I hate Susannah or Suzanne or anything like that. Just plain Susan will do.

I like it. It's very nice sounding, and I think it'll age well and suit any age.

I absolutely love Susan, Suzannah, and Suzanne. They're all really pretty, IMO, and they're not too popular just now. Add in such an important link for you, and I think it's perfect.Susie's great, in an old-school way. I like Zanna better, personally, but that works better with Suzannah and Suzanne. I also know a little girl named Sanne, which would be equally cute as a nickname.Array

I love it! Susan is one of those names that is not very popular anymore, and I think it would be great to see a little girl named Susan!

I actually do like Susan, esp. nn Susie. It's not my general style, but I do like it. There aren't so many around now, so trendiness isn't a problem. And it's cute.
