Re: Jamie

Well it's my name and it's done me well so far in my life. When I was little I used to be slightly annoyed at the idea of sharing my name with opposite gender. But now I don't mind it at all, and in some ways I kind of like it. I have to smile when people mention having brothers or cousins, boyfriend's, etc... named Jamie. It's funny because most people think informing me of knowing a male Jamie will get a strong reaction out of me, as though the concept of any other Jamie's is new to me.
Though my own naming style highly bends towards feminine names for girls. I only see myself as a Jamie, I think I'm completely a Jamie. The only annoying aspect of the name in my opinion is the constant misspelling, usually mistaken for the spelling Jaime.
I like it as a nn for James for a boy. I happen to really like James but as my name is Jamie, I would probably never use James as a first name.
"I dare you to make less sense."
