Jamie
I was think about this after reading Elinor's post. Jamie is the one unisex name that has never bothered me at all! I just realized it now that it is even unisex, yeah I don't pay attention I guess. Anyways, what do you think of the name. Personally, I like it! I know many of them, all ages and I think it suites an elderly man as well as a little girl!Auntie to: Robert, Brady, Juliana & Sophia.

Never liked it for a girl.

I love the name Jamie. I prefer it for a boy, but I do really like it for a girl also. I prefer it with the "Jaime" spelling for a girl...I think! hehe.

I've never been crazy about it on girls, but that's mostly due to a couple of Jamies I knew grewing up that were mean and bratty. :b I love it on boys, though, but only as a nn for James. ETA: It really bothers me when girls are named Jamie and it's spelled JAIME. That's just wrong to me. It may be acceptable to most, but I just find it annoying, mostly because Jaime is also a masculine Spanish name pronounced like HYE-mee. :b

Jamie is male to me. I know a female Jamie (probables written Jaimie though, and she goes by Jaimes), one of the worst people I've ever met... she's just... unbearable... anyway lol

I agree, I love Jamie, but....for some odd reason, the name reminds me of 'peach'.....?~~The brave may not live forever, but the cautious don't live at all~~

I really love this name on a boy. Every male Jamie I ever met was good looking and charismatic. But I have bad female associations - every girl I ever met with the name has been a hick.

In Scotland I've only met male Jamie's, but I think it's really sweet and unusual for a girl :-)_____________________________________________________________________"My universe is laced around your wrist; I am the bracelet you sport."Elinor

I've always liked Jamie, preferably for a girl. I've also always really liked the combo Jamie Lynne and if I named my daughter that I would call her by both her first and middle name. I've known several Jamie's and they've all been wonderful people.

Well it's my name and it's done me well so far in my life. When I was little I used to be slightly annoyed at the idea of sharing my name with opposite gender. But now I don't mind it at all, and in some ways I kind of like it. I have to smile when people mention having brothers or cousins, boyfriend's, etc... named Jamie. It's funny because most people think informing me of knowing a male Jamie will get a strong reaction out of me, as though the concept of any other Jamie's is new to me. Though my own naming style highly bends towards feminine names for girls. I only see myself as a Jamie, I think I'm completely a Jamie. The only annoying aspect of the name in my opinion is the constant misspelling, usually mistaken for the spelling Jaime.I like it as a nn for James for a boy. I happen to really like James but as my name is Jamie, I would probably never use James as a first name.

I find it feminine, as I only went to elementary school with female Jamie's, but in the movie Homeward Bound, the little boy is named Jamie. Yet, I don't care for the name for either gender, as I find it too nickname-y.

In yester years I wanted to call my son Jamie, but then I figured James would be better for an adult, and now love that name very very much. I've utterly forgotten my Jamie-love. I like it.
