Davinia...
I never thought I'd like this name, but I love it. It seems to have a very English feeling to it. What do you guys think? Is it tacky? Also, what do you think of Davinia Iris?Siri

I do find it a little tacky. I dislike all feminine forms of David though - none of them are attractive to my ears. It seems like it's trying to mimic Lavinia, which is a name I find really unapproachable-sounding and this has the same feel to me, sorry. It sounds much more American than English to me, but I don't normally like English-sounding names anyhow._____________________________________________________________________"My universe is laced around your wrist; I am the bracelet you sport."Elinor

It flows off the tongue nicely but it makes me think of the candy called Divinity.Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

Davinia seems a bit much, but I love Davina.
Lavinia has a cheesy feel to me (as do most names starting with a Lah sound).

It's quirky. I like Davinia. I'm not as wild about Iris.

WDYT of Davina?

I do think that it has that English Victorian feel. It kind of reminds me of Divinities. You know, the candy. I'm very sorry if that bursts your bubble. I think that it is a very beautiful, sophisticated name.

I know a woman named Davina. Her father was David. I would like Davina Iris or Lavinia Iris (I really like that one.)

You're right. Lavinia is much, much better.
