Fay, Fae, Faye?
It seems the name Fay has been popping up recently, and I'm thinking about adding it to my favorites for a girl. Which spelling do you prefer? According to BtN it looks like they all derive from Fay, but I kind of like Fae and Faye.
WDYT?

I LOVE Fae, it's my favorite. I haven't seen it spelled like that!! ~~The brave may not live forever, but the cautious don't live at all~~

I like all three ... Fae best, followed by Fay, then Faye_____________________________________________________________________"[David Gest] looks like he's had a lot of plastic surgery done, but not by a plastic surgeon."Elinor

I can't decide. Fae and Faye are both very pretty spellings. I would choose Faye though. "Dance like no one's watching."

I like Faye; it looks nice and balanced to me. Fae looks icky (too close to the OMGMAGICKALFAERIES!!11eleventy), and Fay just seems a bit short. I have a weird weakness for Fei, but that's probably best left alone. ;)Array

Fae is my favorite spelling, but I also really like Faye. Don't care for it spelt Fay, even though I usually do prefer the original spelling.

I've only met one person named Faye, She would be about 25 now. I haven't met any since. I think Faye looks nicest and more complete then the other two :)

Where is the name popping up? Where you live? I haven't seen it on this board, hardly, and it's never in my local birth announcements.I don't care for it. It's a very weak sounding name to me. If I had to choose a spelling, it'd be Faye.

It's mentioned in three or four current threads on this board, including Silvie's post from today with the combo Athena Fae. Also, I saw my SIL's grandmother Faye at a baby shower yesterday, so maybe I'm thinking of that as well.
I didn't mean that it's being used a lot for babies, just that I've been seeing it.
