These names aren't French: Malec, Micah, Sofiane (on a boy??), Lou-Anna, Sula (??), Mailys/Maelys are NOT French, sorry but I don't like it when people just say "it's French" because it's exotic or something.
Apart from that, these names are never used (some used to, others are unheard of): Elodian, Eloi, Lilian, Opaline, Philomene, Fleurette.
I like:

Sorry, these were just names I saw on the board there, I copied and pasted the list from my journal (naughty) and forgot to take off Micah and the others
These ones: Elodian, Eloi, Lilian, Opaline, Philomene, Fleurette - I found on the boards (and the top 100 lists) so obviously someone likes them! I have a tendency to like very-old or very-new (i.e. creative) French names that most people wouldn't have heard of
I haven't a clue where they got Sofiane from I just took the ending (-fiane) and presumed it was a French 'kre8tif' name as I can't find it anywhere

My first reaction was: Oh no! The French are now trying too hard. . . . It's those *%!)^ Mcdonalds in Paris.
I suppose these could be family names that were popular 100 years ago. I do have a secret warm feeling for Hippolyte. It seems every other minor character in a 19th century French or Russian novel was named Hippolyte. Ah, to be a teenage bookworm once again. . . .
Ludovine could grow on me. I do like Philomene, Annabelle, Octavie, and Milo. My tastes run to the obscure (English names), particularly medieval saint names, so who am I to judge?
