Horatio?
I really like it, especially when I think of the Horatio Hornblower novels.
Also, I just found out the mn and ln of a recent friend and it's a really funny combination of names:
Israel Forrest McM... (he goes by Izzy)
Isn't this a funny name. Well, he said he was an ethnic mix, and his family's from Tennessee. I think it's strange but interesting.

I don't like the fact that the first syllable is HO. Not a good association. Imagine that as a nn!
I makes me think of Horatio on CSI: Miami and he is so smug and condescending that I don't like.
it reminds me of Hamlet, the play by Shakspeare. We're reading it in english right now. I'm not sure I like it much, it sounds too complex to me
I love Horatio--especially with the nickname Ray. It's actually one of my favourites and has been for a couple of years. Horatio Kolbe is one of my favourite combos (and no, that's not simply a tacky spelling of Colby).
I like Izzy's name. Izzy McM____ is great--has a really good ring to it. Israel is all right, though I prefer Isadore with the nickname Izzy. I'm not digging Forrest at all.
Israel and Horatio would be neat names for brothers, now that I think on it.
