Clarence on a girl
I met a girl named Clarence Emma some months ago and I always thought that name fit her perfectly... I don't mind the name Clarence on a boy, but it sounds also better on a girl in my opinion.
What do you think?

It doesn't sound so dorky on a girl. Hmm, yes it works better on a female :-)Emma is very dull though._____________________________________________________________________"You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true."Elinor

Clarence is horrible for a girl! It has no femininity to it at all. Just because it has Clare within it doesn't make it a girl's name. Claire / Clare is so much nicer for a girl.

Clarence is only feminine to me, like Laurence, Florence... :)

i agree that Clarence is a boy name (which i don't care for) and Clara is better for a girl.

DittoThis is one of the MANY names I can only imagine on a boy, and I HATE (yes, I will use this word when I feel that strongly) when people use certain names on girls.I do like it for a boy. It is my grandfather's mn, Arthur Clarence G. I thought about using it at one point, but I think it works best as a mn.
