Jude. I've been raised on the Beatles, and so whenever I hear this name, I think of "Hey Jude" and smile.

I like Jude the best, and it's actually one of my favorite names. I like the sounds of Judah and Judas but wouldn't use them. Judah sounds almost feminine (I know it's not!) and Judas has that VERY negative connotation attached to it.

Jude - of course! :D I like Judah as well but I think Jude is the nicest sounding of the three... Judas I'd avoid, simply because of the Biblical Judas, otherwise it's actually quite a nice name.

The Biblical character Judas is so prominent that his name is actually used as a generic name for any supposed traitor. Not a nice thing to saddle on a real person, imo.

Judah, of course. Jude's too short, and Judas has horrible connotations. Saint Judah, on the other hand, was awesome. And so Judah it is--maybe with the nickname Jude.

Jude, naturally. It's fashionable (in some circles anyway) .. thanks especially to Jude Law, but the name's time has simply come, regardless.

Judah and Judas are staid and musty conservative old men from the Old Testament of the Bible. (how it feels when I consider using it myself)

On the other hand, as far as your children are concerned .. Biblical names do bask a bit in the heroic glow and mainstream approval of their origin; and if that's how you see it, I think Judas or Judah sounds fine. But he's bound to prefer to be called Jude in almost every context, because that's the form that feels current, fresh and "young" to folks right now, imo.

Judas is okay, but it may not sit well with some people because of the Biblical character, and I think Judah is just as nice anyway. Jude is my least favorite; it seems very bland.
