Sumarrós WDYT?
An acquaintance said this about the reason she chose her daughter's name. She's Icelandic, and the name means "summer rose". I like it a lot, and I love the story behind it!"The name Sumarrós is from my great grandmothers sister. When I was about 2 months pregnant with Sumarrós, the "original" Sumarrós died. My mother and everybody always called her Rósa (which is also my mothers name) and they really thought that that was her name. Almost nobody knew until she was dead that her real name was Sumarrós. I heard it, and fell in love with it. I somehow knew that I was pregnant with a girl (dreams that I had dreamt and my mother told me so) and I fell in love with the name and decided that if infact I was going to give birth to a girl, I would name her Sumarrós. It was just a bonus that her birthday was the 14th of June, summer time."~ Caitlín
