Hi there! Yeah, it is. It's especially hard to tell someone how to pronounce a name like Juergen or Michael (one that has an oe, ae or ue- sorry don't know how to get the umlaut with my keyboard, or a name that has a ch). Heck, most of the time it's hard to get someone to say it right when they're standing right there and you're talking to them... Anyway, other German names I like are for boys: Valentin (I think this is so sweet especially because when I lived in Austria, my host mother's nephew was this precious little three month old boy named Valentin and I got to see him grow during his first year. He was so sweet and for some reason he adored me, would stop crying as soon as someone gave him to me to hold...), Felix, Jakob, Michael and Daniel (know I already said those!), Jonas, Nikolas, and for girls: Karolina, Angelika, Elisabeth ww nn Lilli or Eliss, Eliss (like it on it's own too!), Klara, Mirjam, Adalheid, Marie, Katja, Katarina... That's pretty much it. As much as I love Austria and the German language, my gosh does it have a TON of uuuuugly names. I think the worst are (for boys): Horst, Eugen (that one's really bad, doesn't even sound like a name) for girls: Waltraud, Almut, Berta, Elke, Ursula w/ nns Ursi or Uschi, Doris, Vera, Matilda (though I do like Mathilde or Mathild), Ingeborg, Helga...
