Georgette wdyt?
I have just fallen in love with the name Georgette, after seeing a girl called Jorgette. (I think the Jorgette looks too kre8tiv).What do you think? Does it sound at all trashy? My sister hates it, but both my husband and I really like it and potentially would use it for our next child.

I never classify names as being 'trashy', but I don't really care for Georgette. It's not bad, just nms.
When I was little, I had a good friend named Georgette who lived right down the street from me. I always picture her when I hear the name: a sweet little girl with white blonde ringlets.
I don't like Georgia, Georgina, and Georgiana, but Georgette is fine.

It's sweet, and would be interesting, what with Georgia being a bit too popular at the moment, at least where I live (UK). I prefer Georgiana though.

Georgette is very outdated where I live, it's very 1930's. I find it cute, but it's nms. I have several cousins called Georgette, because the parents thought it was a good vernacular name for Zlata. Not in my opinion, but yeah lolI prefer Georgia or Georgina.

I don't think any name is "trashy." Anyway, I don't care for it. I only like Georgia, Georgina, and Georgianna.

It's cute.. it makes me think of fabric. It's not trashy, although it is a bit less gracious sounding than Georgia or Georgine.- chazda"I don't want to look like a loser for the rest of my life!" ~ Georgia Ford, on needing a signature

Haha...it's my mnMy name is Heather Georgette. I HATED my mn growing up. Everyone else's mn was Ann, Lynn, Marie, etc. and mine was Georgette. :b I was named after my maternal grandfather, George. I kind of like it now, though I think Georgeanne would've been a little better. I always thought Georgette sounded like a name for a French poodle. People still try not to laugh when I tell them what my mn is. ! So I don't know that I'd recommend it. It's cute, though. I guess I would at least recommend as a mn. :b
