HelpI wish i was Russian!
I've been looking through Russian names, and really liking them.
Svetlana and Katya are my favorite. I met a girl named Svetlana, which got me started on Russian names.
Is there any particular ethnic names you like?
Do you think it's weird to use an obviously ethnic name (Like svetlana) when you're not from that country?
Also, do you think it makes a difference if you can tell? If i named my daughter svetlana, and said my side of the family was russian (since our last name isn't) nobody would know. I knew someone who did this. But if a blonde haired boy was named Juan, people would know you're not of spainish speaking descent.
I hope that made sense, lol. Just something i've been thinking about.
