Italian Names
What are your favorite Italian-type names? Mine are Elisabetta, Alessandra, Francesca, and Caterina for girls, and Giorgio and Giuseppe for boys.btw, my name is really Mary, not Maria--I'm only like an eighth Italian.

Yeah, Guglielmo is kind of cool, but I still like Will and William better for that.

I love Luca, Giovanni, Dominic, Vincente and Pascal on boys. DH is 1/2 Italian, and most of these are family names even though Pascal (his dad) doesn't use the traditional Italian spelling.I'm not as crazy about any girl names, although I do like Francesca.

Yeah, I know I'm crazy. But I still prefer to have a book than read enormous lists of names in the screen of my computer.
So, when I went to Italy last summer, I bought it.
In fact, the first thing I did when we arrived to Italy (we stopped in Milan, after a TERRIBLE night in the bus) was go to a library! My class mates thought I was (still more) crazy. The book is called NOMI & NOMI, Origine e significato (Ed. Demetra)I also have two books of French names, one of Basque's, one of English's (bought in the only shop in the nearest city that sells only English books), one of Spanish's and, obviously, two of Catalan names. I love to have them!!
