Alison, Allison, or Allyson
My friend is expecting in a month. She already has Anna Marie and she doesn't know what she is having.
She wants to name a girl after her Aunt Alice. Which spelling for Allison should she use and what are the nick names and their spellings?
If it is a boy she likes Ryan Christopher. What do you think?

I like Allison without a nn, but Allie could be cute if she has to use one. Ryan Christopher is nice, but a little boring to me.
Alison no nickname

Alison
Allison looks most like a surname to me, and I see the word "all" in it, which makes me want to prn it ah-lison.
So I like Alison. It's the most elegant, first-namey spelling. It doesn't need a nickname; Allie is too bland (but that's what I'd use if I had to choose one).
I like Ryan Christopher.

I like Allison best. The others are nice too. I've known girls with all three spellings.
