How do you pronounce?
How do you pronounce Arabella?
Replies
ah-rah-bel-ah
Are-Ah-Bella. Although I'm horrible with explaining. My favorite way to figure out how i would say a name is to pretend I'm a substitute teacher taking attendance. In that case i would probable say "Is Are-Ah-Bella? er, Air-ah-bella? here?" or something like that.
Arrah - belle - ah. I'm an Aussie though, so that could come into why I pronounce it that way!!

I'm American, and I say it as Air-uh-bella.
How many times has this question been asked.
I have no idea why it's so hard, but the original pronunciation is Air-ah-bell-ah, but I've found many Americans/North Americans accented people(and some around my parts) assume it is Are-ah-bell-ah when they read it. So annoying.
I really wish more people would ask though before assuming, so they would say it wrong. It's so pretty when pronounced correctly.

*notices something*
Everyone has an opinion, and so I've come to the conclusion that there is no "it must be said this way or it's wrong" way anymore. If this many people are divided in it's pronunciation, then say it how you want it said, it no longer matters.
