I don't know of any male Emily's. I know of Emilio's. Anyway, I only like Emily for a girl.
I don't care for Hunter (I know several dogs with this name, and I think it's very trendy). I prefer the spelling Shawn. But, since it's a family spelling, then it's OK, I guess. Yet, using the spelling Shawn would still be honoring whomever.
