*My grandma mentioned she used to know a male Emily.*My soon-to-be cousin is going to be named Hunter Schawn. (pronounced just like Shawn, but they are using this spelling for family reasons I think)So WDYT??

Emily is my sister's name, so I'm bias. It's an ok name. I only like it for a girl though! Hunter is my cousin's name, and I actually like this name. But I hate the spelling Schawn! :(

I love Emily, but only for a girl (lol, that seems kinda funny to say). I hate the name Hunter a lot. All I see is a killer and a lot of needless blood. I think it's a cruel name. Shawn is nice. Don't really like the spelling, but if it's family then it's alright by me.

I like Emily, Hunter isn't my style. Though I do like The Gladiators. ^ ^Emily and Hunter are *very* scary together!

I'm not too surprised about Emily for a boy, the Catalan male form of the name is Emili (uh-MEE-lee), wich is pretty similar to Emily. I don't like Hunter, and Sean is ok, imo, but I don't care for the spelling Schawn. Eva

I don't know of any male Emily's. I know of Emilio's. Anyway, I only like Emily for a girl.I don't care for Hunter (I know several dogs with this name, and I think it's very trendy). I prefer the spelling Shawn. But, since it's a family spelling, then it's OK, I guess. Yet, using the spelling Shawn would still be honoring whomever.

I don't mind Emily, but I prefer Emmma and I like Hunter (for either gender, the hunting part doesn't bother me) but that spelling of Sean is atrocious. Personally, I only like the spelling S-E-A-N and anything else just doesn't look right but if its for family reasons its more tolerable but ONLY as a mn (similar to our spelling of Lorin for a mn to honour my mother Lori).
Edit: Wanted to add Emily & Emma (spelled correctly) are for girls only!

Wow! A boy named Emily! I sorta like the name Hunter and I always love when people change the spelling of names so yes I do love the way your soon-to-be cousin spells Schawn.
