Maria vs. Rosemaria
Maria is my name now.
Rosemaria is what I was going to be called, until my parents decided to shorten it.Which do you prefer? The name "Rosemaria" is growing on me.

Rosemaria is very beautiful but a little confusing. I thing if it were pronounced Rosamaria it would sound alot better. So I think I would prefer Maria. It is a very PERTY (pretty) name!

I think Rosemaria is lovely. I like Rosemarie and Rosemary, as well. If you really love Rosemaria, and it was originally intended to be your name, anyhow, I'd say to go for it. You can still be called Maria, but Rosemaria also gives you more options.Shannon

I prefer Maria. Rosemaria seems a mouthful and a bit much. I do like Rosemarie though.

I prefer Maria to Rosemaria. Rosemaria is a bit too much IMO I like Rose as a middle name and I prefer Maria on it's own.

I like Maria (but only as a middle name), and I prefer the name Rosemary. I would prefer Rose Maria as two seperate names, with Maria as the middle name.

I much prefer Maria, Rosemaria seems a bit strange - like the too names are stuck together due to the 'e' and they don't 'flow' (you have to say them seperately)Rosamaria or Rosamarie would look better.
I like Rosamund too :) - completely off topic ...I have two friends called Maria - one goes by Masha (or Mashenka) and the other goes by Mimi (far out, I know!)alice x

I agree, Rosamaria sounds more natural than Rosemaria.

No, I'm English. I'm very anti-Maria in looks...most people expect dark skin, dark hair, dark eyes, etc., but I'm redheaded, with pale skin.
I'd want to keep the "Maria" part, so I could still go by that if I chose to. Just want more zing in my first name, really. ;)
