Yes, I would, but only if the child (or pet, for that matter) were actually born/adopted or conceived in the said month. I apply the same philosophy to astrological names (Leo, Astraea [Virgo], etc) too, btw.
For girls, I like April, May, and June. For boys, I like August, March, and maybe January (see Janus and Gennaro). For both, I like July.

How do you pronounce Astraea?
I guess either as-traye-uh (as in 'aye') or as-TRÉ-uh (that's the best way to describe the long e sound which doesn't exist in English.)

I used to say as-STRAY-ah, but it could be as-STRAY-ee-ah, as-STRAH-ee-ah, or something else.
