By "goddess of fun and wild parties" she is probably referring to the god Dionysos. Sydney / Sidney were originally surnames derived from a French place name meaning Saint Denis . Denis is derived from Dionysios , which is in turn derived from the name of the god. A twisted path, but Sydney and Dionysos are distantly related.
It takes a really complex mind and deep knowledge of names to come up with something like that. Now I am convinced that Mike definitely knows of what he speaks.
