I'm afraid I cant find any reference to Pargus of Pargos as a bona fide Geek name. There is however a wonderful seaside village in northwestern Greece called Parga, so "Pargos" could conceivably mean "person from Parga". I am a bit stumped however with the etymology of Parga itself.
