I like it a lot. It reminds me of Elisabeth (which I love, spelled with an 's'), but is much more unusual. I think Elspeth could work just fine as fn, possibly with the nns Elsie or Elsa. It's great that Elspeth rules out the nn Beth, which I hate. I think an Elspeth would be somewhat quiet, but very intelligent and confident- possibly a slightly chubby girl with big, soft curls.
