It is my absolute favourite name at the moment.

Spelt Amias.

I like it very much, and I prefer the Amias spelling. Amyas looks too much like "Amy ass" to me. :-/ BTW, I pronounce it AM-ee-uhs but I've also heard it as AE-mee-uhs.

Huh--I've only ever heard it uh-MYE-iss, which is how I like it. AM-ee-uhs is interesting, though.

I realized after posting that the pronunciations I'm familiar with aren't necessarily the most popular ones. The only time I've really ever heard it, though, was on a boy on the 1980s Nickelodeon show "You Can't Do that On Television". :b

I love Amias and prefer this spelling. :) Amyas is too close for my name for me to feel really comfortable with it.
