Help[Opinions] twin names
My husband wants to name our twins Adam and Eva, although I feel as though the biblical allusion is too much and isnt really toned-down by Eva instead of Eve.
His other suggestions were Louis and Armand for boys (after the vampire chronicles- I suppose I should be greatful he's not set on Lestat) and December Riley and Jenna Jamie for girls.
I was so frustrated with him because I feel he's not taking it seriously!
Personally, I like Lliam and Joshua for boys, Joshua and Olivia for a boy and girl, or Olivia and Jade for girls.

Adam and Eva are a little too themey to use together imo. I think, not only of the Bible connection, but also of the characters from "Little House on the Prairie" (the tv show). Individually, both Adam and Eva are nice names, though I much prefer Ava over Eva.
Louis and Armand are both dnmsaa. They seem very dated to me and just aren't appealing.
December Riley isn't a horrible combo, though December just doesn't make a very good name imo. I really like Riley for a girl (actually, I only like it for a girl), but I prefer it sp. Rylie.
Jenna Jamie doesn't flow very well, though I love the name Jenna. Jamie isn't my style though.
Liam is nice on its own or as a NN for William, while Joshua is nice enough...not something I'd use, but classy. I love the name Olivia...my 2nd fave girls' name! It's gorgeous imo :-) Jade is nice enough, though I prefer it as a MN.

I think Adam and Eva are nice names but a bit too themey. What about Evelyn?
Olivia is starting to grow on me lately, I think your combos are slightly better than your partners.

Adam and Eva isn't toned down at all. There are many languages where Adam and Eva are the first two people in the Bible, I'm Dutch and here we say "Adam and Eva" not "Adam and Eve".
I have to admit I like Armand too because of the vampires. At least not everyone will immediately think of those like with Adam and Eva.
His idea for the girls are not my style at all. I can imagine your frustration with the whole thing!
Liam and Joshua are very nice, especially if you'd use the nn Josh, which I like very much. I only like Olivia with the nn Liv. Jade is not something I'd choose.
I hope you can change his mind. Maybe you can get him to combine his ideas:
GG: Claudia (vampire) and Eva
BG: Armand and Eva
BB: Jamie and Riley (I just like them better on boys)
I'd love to see Joshua and Olivia (especially as Josh and Liv)

I agree with you. First of all, I don't think it's ever really acceptable to name siblings after famous lovers.
Louis and Armand aren't bad in and of themselves, but I'm not overly familiar with the Chronicles to know what potential problems they would have. I think it's nice that the names mean something to him, and books are often inspiriation, so these two I think are ok.
December Riley is rather trendy (and nmsaa), but not bad. The problem I have with Jenna Jamie is that Jenna Jameson is a well known porn actress, and this reminds me of it. I do like that December and Jenna aren't matchy twin names.
I don't really have much to say about yours. They're nice and not overly twiny. Good sibling pairs. Not a fan of Jade in and of itself, though.

I completely agree. It would be awful to name kids Romeo and Juliet, or Tristan and Isolde, etc.
