I find Amanda plain, boring and common in a Samantha way, but much worse than Samantha which has an interesting meaning controversy. I don't like Amanda one bit, and I hate Mandy, Manda, Manders (ewwww)... It sounds trashy and unedcuated to me. I also dislike the moms saying "I called my daughter Amanda because it means "worthy of being loved"". Errr... aren't the other babies worthy of being loved? Cheesy, I tell you... The "a man, duh!" joke doesn't help either.
