[Opinions] Miracle
Do you think Miracle is a girls or boys name? When I first saw it I decided it was a girls name but on other websites it says it is also a boys name.

GirlBut it really shouldn't be used on a human at all.

It could be either, I suppose, but it's used more often as a girl's name, I believe (perhaps because of the Mira- part?). I find it quite cheesy on either gender. And I see quite a few babies--all girls so far--named Miracle (occasionally Myracle) working in an NICU. :-/ ETA: I'd much rather see one of these names that mean "miracle(s)" --

Karishma
Milagros (nn Millie :b)

I'd say girl, but I don't like it.

Miracle definitely hits me as a girl's name.

I automatically think girl. I like it. She could be called Miri or Mira for short.

It seems girlish to me. I'm not sure I like it, BTW.

I dont like it for either, but if I had a gun to my head and had to decide sort of thing, I would choose girl I guess.

GirlBut I see it more as a word than anything else. Milagros is a (female) Spanish name that's a much, much better choice imo.

Neither personally. It's just a cheesy, cliched name that makes me want to scream.

Really? I think that it's a girls name.

Neither sex jumps out at me. Not that you asked, but I love the name Mirabel / Mirabelle for a girl. I've seen its meaning listed as "miracle." Even if that's not correct, I hear the word "miracle" when I say Mirabel out loud.

Thanks for that. I see what you mean, I tried saying it out loud.
