To all those who said the name Stacey was trashy.....take a good look at your own names! My daughter is named Stacey and she's anything but Trashy! In my opinion you must be the trashy ones to think like that. Get a grip and get a life.

I've never thought of Stacey/Stacy/Staci as trashy personally. I love that name!

there is no need to be so rude and to tell people to get a life. In my opinion Stacey isn't a very good name because it reminds me of a local prostitute i knew called Stacey Kimber she wasn't a very nice woman. So in my opinion it is a slutty and trashy name but if you like it good for you.

I love the name Stacey-it sounds happy and upbeat to me. Not trashy.

She's referring to the comment section on the name Stacey. Lots of people seem to misunderstand that section and retaliate on this board.

I don't recall anyone saying that Stacey was a trashy name. It's common and it used to be trendy, but it's certainly not a trashy name.

Apparently she's one of those people who read the comments and came here to the Opinions Board to blame us--even though it was more than likely NOT one of us that posted that comment. And even so, who cares? :-/

I think Stacey's a perfectly nice name (it's my favourite nickname for Anastasia), but the Opinions board is not the place to respond to comments that have been left on names.

Stacey is the short form of Anastasia or Eustace--anything but trashy names.
