[Opinions] Abigail.

I used to hate it, but in the last few years it has grown on my so much, I love it now. I only like the traditional spelling of Abigail though. If it's not broke, don't fix it, I say! And I agree with you on the nn spelling. Abby is the best, but I don't mind Abbie or Abbey (that makes me think of the Beatles!)

Abigail is just okay for me. It's not horrible, but there's just something that keeps me from really liking it. Abigaile and Abigaila are both dnmsaa. I'd stick with Abigail.
On the other hand, I love Abby! I actually prefer it all on its own (with this spelling). It's so cute imo :-)

Those aren't 'real' variants, imo. Abigaila is just Abigail with an -a stuck on the end. Sounds awkward. Abigaile--as well as Abagale, Abigayle, Abbygaill--are just misspellings, imo. Abbey makes me think of a church. Abby, Abbie, Abbey (etc.) is too nickname-y as a full name, imo. And though I like the sound of Abigail and think the nn Abby is sweet, Abigail is extremely overused and has been over the last several years. :-/
I don't like its variants particularly but I think Abigail is a sweet name. I know it's really popular now but I like it. Nice, cute without being cutesy, versatile enough to be appropriate for a woman or a baby, and pretty enough. I prefer Abby or Abbi as nicknames, or even Gail if someone wanted to go a bit outside the norm.
I also like Abilene, going along the lines of the Ab- or Abi- sound.
