I lke Banjo, Dot, Phinneus + Hazel, Poppy adn Saffron - not at all weird in England (except Banjo - but i like it anyway)
I would be tempted to use Pirate as a middle naem - it would be cool i think adn my ds Eli would be chuffed - i know this is the name he'd choose for a sibling!

I agree with Sugar, how is Hazel considered wacky? Uncommon perhaps, but not wacky. (I actually like it to the point where i'd like to use it if it wasn't to strange in Swedish.)
I also don't really understand how Saffron Sahara, Amber Rose and Tallulah Pine fit in on this list. Pine is weird, yes. Sahara unusual, but place names are popular...
Saffron and Tallulah are not unheard of, and Amber Rose is downright ordinary.
Overall though I agree, these names are... not really names.

I've seen all these before, but they never fail to fill me with sourness. Reign Beau? That's a Porno name for you.
Denim and Diezel? Sounds like an "Sexy Truckers and Mechanics" calender. If there isn't such a thing, there ought to be..

And Geldoff's kids' names are some of the worst, sickly-cutesy, babyish names ever conjured up froma drug dream. Also, it's Little Pixie. And they all have a slew of more normal middle names, and I read that one of them "I think it was Peaches but can't vouch for it) goes by Charlotte, one of hers. Paula Yates had another daughter with Michael Hutchence, named Heavenly Hiraani Tigerlilly.

She would get teases a ton, as rainbows are associated with homosexuality.

Yes I know they are, but I look at from a religious point of view in the it's God's Promise to the world that He'd never flood the world again. :). Plus I think rainbows are beautiful and ive always loved them, I know that the homosexual reference is strong but oh well, I can't stop others from thinking of it. Rainbows are considered for homosexual men only, butterflies are supposedly for lesbians. How theu came about that i have no idea! lol.

I have been told the butterfly is a symbol of Christianity. It's always the rainbow that seems to show up in gay pride artwork and symbolism. In a way I think it's really too bad: it's gotten to be such a loaded symbol that you wouldn't want to put upa flag witha rainbow o it or wear something with a rainbow design on it because people would jump to conclusions and make judgments and rude remarks.

However, it's easy to say that when you do't actually have a little Rainbow who's come home crying because of some hateful remark that a stupid kid at school and/or said kid's stupid parents have made about the name. At least one person in Britain isn't happy movie star Gwyneth Paltrow and her rock-star husband, Coldplay's Chris Martin, decided to name their newborn daughter "Apple."
Peaches Geldof, daughter of a rock star herself, lamented the practice of goofy celebrity-offspring names in the Daily Telegraph of London Wednesday.
"I am named, as you may have noticed, after a fruit," wrote the 14-year-old daughter of Boomtown Rats singer Bob "Live Aid" Geldof . "I'm not Jane or Sarah or Samantha: I am Peaches. This doesn't make sense to me at all."
Young Geldof said Apple Martin has a lot of teasing to look forward to thanks to her name, and she has plenty of first-hand experience.
"I've never announced my name to anyone without being asked to repeat it at least twice," she wrote. "I also get a lot of lascivious comments: 'Ooh, you're a juicy piece of fruit, aren't you, young lady?' 'I'd like to take a bite out of that peach ...' 'Look at those peaches.'"
While Geldof says life hasn't always been "peaches and cream" for her, she does see an upside to an untraditional moniker, according to the Daily Telegraph. "It's unusual, it's exotic, it's not boring. It also gives me [or so I like to think] an air of mystery."
And she lists some other unusual children-of-celebrity names that make her feel Peaches isn't the worst thing one could be branded, such as David Bowie's son Zowie and Prince Jackson, son of the Gloved One.
Her own sisters make the list: Fifi Trixibelle, Little Pixie and Heavenly Hiraani Tigerlily. And despite the teasing she's endured, Geldof writes that she plans to continue the tradition when she has kids.

Peaches is pretty funny because at least here in the US, it's a common name to give an orange cat! In fact, our cat Buddy's mother is named Peaches.

as I said before...
It's a good thing cats don't usually acknowledge that a name has anything to do with them. Your friend's cat has thus saved himself a lot of gender issues and identity crises.

I think Hazel was one of those names that may have been well liked for a short time (early 20th century), but then quickly fell out of favor. My grandmother was Hazel, she died young and of all the grandchildren born on that side of the family, none of the girls were named for her. I think no one was ready to use a name like that in the 50s-70s (when the grandaughters were born). However, I'd consider it now - or at least for a middle name.
