[Games] Re: You Say, You Think (Girls & Boys)
This is my daugther, Genesis Eve
You Say: Hi, Genesis.
You Think: Not bad. I wouldn't use Genesis myself, but it's not too bad...it's a little themey with Eve, though. I hope the other kids aren't Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John (or worse, Revelation)! ;PThis is my daugther, Indigo Peace nn "Peace"
You Say: Hi, Indigo.
You Think: Why do they call her Peace? I like Indigo. If they need a nn, why not "Indi," for instance? It's a little wordy, too. Indigo peace, what's that? I didn't think peace had a color...BOYS
This is my son, Amadeus Beethoven
You Say: Hi, Amadeus.
You Think: No--Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig (von) Beethoven! That combo just sounds wrong; honor two composers if you wish, but don't combine a given name of one with the ln of another that way--it just sounds wrong. I wonder if they call him "Maddie," that would be kind of cute.
This is my son, Dakota Cruz nn "Kota"
You Say: Hi, Dakota.
You Think: Hmmm, Dakota is ok, I hate the nn, though. And it's a pity "Cruz" looks so much like "crud." Oh well, it could be worse.

about Amadeus, just to let you know it's not after the composer [but obviously] I know people would think that. However Beethoven is, lol. I didn't want to use Ludwig [even though I adore it] because in America people would pronounce it wrong. :)Just thought you'd like to know :)

If Amadeus is not after Mozart, then I definately wouldn't pair it with Beethoven. To me, Amadeus by itself would probably make me think of Mozart, because that's the only person with that name that I am familiar with, but paired with the name of another composer, it definitely would make me think you were naming after Mozart.
