Well, I like the name Howard. I think that lands me squarely into the "liking elderly names" territory. Ditto Miriam, Edna, Yolanda, Agnethe, Gordon, Wallace, Arthur... none of them sound particularly youthful to me. :-) Nothing wrong with that, I don't think. There are some 'old' names that I think are just hideous, though--Mildred and Beatrice are two of my token examples--and would like to see disappear forever. But I'd also like to be rid of things like Isabelle and Adriana, so it's not exclusively a long history or even being dated that irks me.

I don't have much of a vision when it comes to Jonas, though the feel is a bit 'old.' It reminds me of Biblical names (even though I see it's not exactly Biblical itself; huh) like Jeremiah, Joshua, Moses, Noah, Abraham, whatever else.
