[Opinions] Valkyrie
Can be pronounced val-KER-ee, val-KIE-ree, or VAL-kuh-ree. It's Norse: In mythology the Valkyries were maidens of Odin who chose heroes to be slain in battle and then led them to Valhalla.Just wondered what you thought of the name and how you would pronounce it.

I would pron. val-kee-ree or wa-lkee-ree. It's teasing material imho (images of fat, blond ladies in iron bras outside of a Wagner opera come to mind).

I love the meaning of the name, unfotunately I immediately think of valkyrie missile when I hear of the name, which puts me off.

I like it, but would never use it. I pronounce it more Dutch: vahl-KEE-ree or VAHL-kee-reePhotobucket - Video and Image Hosting

One of my faves. I like it because of the connection to the Norse Mythology and because I'm a Scandinav from Denmark. I wouldn't use just because of that.I pronounce it as VAL-kuh-ree-éhThat can perhaps be different in the other Scandinavian countries, even if our way of pronouncing are a lot of the same.
