Help[Opinions] Kate?
In your opinion does Kate make a valid fn? or is it strictly a nn to Katherine, Kaitlyn, Katya etc.....
The reason I am asking is I really want to honor my mother named Catherine, but I really don't like the name, or its alternatives except for Kate. Her mn is Anne, but that is a little dull to me, and it doesn't really honor her b/c she never uses Anne.
If there are other names like Katherine/Catherine, then I would like to know, but just some overall opinions.
OHHH another thing, I have a 2nd cousin whom i see on some holidays, but not to often named Katelyn. would Kate and a 3rd cousin Katelyn be too close?
